Caring for Your Wood: A Simple, Stress-Free Guide

Relax, It’s Built to Last

When customers buy their first solid wood piece, they often get nervous about ruining it.

My first piece of advice? Don't stress.

Your WOODLE box is already sealed with a professional-grade natural hard wax oil. It repels moisture and resists daily wear. It is designed to be lived with, not just looked at.

Here is how we maintain the wood in our own showroom:

1. Mind the Climate

Solid wood is hygroscopic—meaning it naturally breathes, expanding and contracting slightly with the humidity in your room.

The fix: Simply keep it away from extreme temperature swings, like placing it directly over a blasting radiator or an AC vent. A stable bedroom environment is perfect.

2. Skip the Chemicals

When it gets dusty, grab a soft, dry microfiber cloth and gently wipe it.

Please skip the commercial furniture sprays! Many contain silicones that build up and dull the wood's natural luster. Trust the plant-based oils we already applied; they are all the wood needs.

3. The Solid Wood Advantage

Here is the greatest secret of 100% solid wood: it is forgiving.

If you accidentally drop a sharp object and scratch a veneered box, it’s ruined forever. But with a WOODLE box, the color runs all the way through the core. A tiny drop of wax oil or a light buffing can easily restore its original beauty.

Enjoy it every day, and watch how it grows richer with time.

Warmly, Li (Founder of WOODLE)
